Sean Christie – Operating Partner
As operating partner of the new Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub, Sean Christie continues to set the bar in the evolving Las Vegas industry he helped create. With a passion for his work and more than 14 years experience, Christie is once again changing the profile of the city’s daylife and nightlife with his two newest venues at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.
“My goal is to be the best, and my motivation is driven by the opportunity to walk into a place that I have helped create and be proud of it,” says Christie.
Christie joined Wynn in March 2007 to oversee the preliminary planning and design for Blush Boutique Nightclub, completely transforming the space and bringing his unique concept to fruition. Since opening its doors, Blush has continually provided quality service and unique special events. The venue was named Best Ultra-Lounge for 2009 by the Nightclub & Bar Awards.
In 2008, Christie partnered with Chef Kim Canteenwalla and Elizabeth Blau to create a café to add to the expansive line up of top-notch restaurants located at Wynn and Encore. Society Café has experienced continuous success and is known as the place to go for a power breakfast or lunch and an amazing spot to enjoy dinner with Chef Canteenwalla’s creative American dishes. It was the only Las Vegas restaurant to be named one of the Best New Restaurants by Esquire in 2009.
Never one to rest, in 2010 Christie joined forces with Steve Wynn to create Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub. The lavish 60,000-square-foot venue blends the daytime beach party with a sexy nightclub, raising the bar for pool parties and nightlife in Las Vegas and beyond.
Christie is the founder and owner of Spectrum Marketing Group, a lifestyle marketing company, and Las Vegas Nightlife Group, which operates Blush, Surrender and Encore Beach Club. Prior to opening Spectrum Marketing Group and Las Vegas Nightlife Group, Christie worked with The Light Group, serving as a managing partner and vice president of marketing from 2002 to 2006. Christie was part of the collective effort that created, managed and successfully operated numerous nightlife hotspots in Las Vegas including Jet, Stack, Fix, Mist, Caramel and Light.
A native of Boston, Christie moved to Las Vegas in 2000 and has a life-long background in hospitality. At a young age, he was inspired by his father, who was a restaurateur. At 19, Christie began his path towards success by promoting and managing Boston establishments including Karma Club, Bill’s Bar and Avalon.
